Hi Everyone!
A large welcome to Katie Wootton Design.
Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to read a bit about me and what I love to create.
I started this business during my maternity leave in 2022. I have always been creative, but it was during this time when people started becoming interested in my work.
My love for printed textiles first came from my artistic family. I later graduated with a degree in Textile Design and worked with designers in the fashion industry. I adore bright tropical colours inspired by jungle animals and their wildlife. All my products start with hand-drawn and painted inspiration, and my favourite medium to use is gouache paint! Of course, digital artwork has become very popular so many of my designs are created using the Adobe Software.
Each print is hand signed, and some items are hand painted or originals, so they're very special.

Our design process
From initial concept to finished product, discover how we bring our vision to life through our design process.

Initial consultation
We begin by drawing inspiration from the natural world around us, exploring colour, and shape. From there, we create mood boards and initial sketches, experimenting with scale and different design layouts. As the ideas develop, more colour and texture are introduced through a range of drawing techniques, allowing each concept to evolve into a fully realised design.

Concept development
Next, we focus on how each design will be used across fabric or accessories, exploring placement, repeat patterns, and scale. This stage is a key part of the creative process, and we love seeing how our drawings transform and come to life in different ways.

Refinement
We refine the chosen design and guide it through to manufacturing, ensuring every detail reflects our original vision. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do, which is why we value your feedback, it helps us continually evolve and improve our products.

Final delivery
Each order is lovingly prepared and packed with care, because we believe the unboxing should feel just as special as the product itself.
